Public pools near me — Atlanta, GA

Last updated: September 24, 2026

The part of pool resurfacing customers in Atlanta, Georgia, are most surprised by is often the detailed preparation required before the new surface is applied. It’s about more than just aesthetics; it's about structural integrity. The process begins with a thorough inspection by a licensed pro to assess the existing surface. Next, the pool is completely drained. Then, the old plaster or tile is meticulously removed down to the structural shell. A new bonding agent is applied to ensure the new surface adheres properly. After the new material, like aggregate or tile, is installed, the pool is refilled and allowed to cure. This is a specialized task that requires the right tools and knowledge for a durable, leak-free result. We ensure you understand every step before work commences. Don't let a worn-out pool surface detract from your backyard oasis in Atlanta. Get a clear picture of your options by calling us today.

What affects the price

Remodeling costs vary based on the scale of your project and the specific materials you choose. Opting for high-end finishes like glass tile or natural stone naturally increases the budget compared to standard plaster. Other factors include the current condition of your pool shell, the complexity of adding features like spas or tanning ledges, and the need for upgraded plumbing or equipment. Whether you are resurfacing the interior or doing a complete structural overhaul, the scope of work dictates the final number. Exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

About this service

Public pools are community-run facilities open to local residents for recreational swimming or lap workouts. You generally need these when you want affordable access to a large swimming space without the maintenance or costs of private ownership. Most operate on a seasonal or daily fee schedule. Check your city’s parks and recreation website for hours and current availability, as these facilities often shift their schedules based on the time of year.

Remodeling in the summer is possible, though it means your pool will be out of commission while you want to use it most. Some homeowners choose to do minor aesthetic updates or equipment swaps during this time. If you decide to renovate now, we focus on efficient project management to get you back in the water.
